The staff here are amazing, with their expertise in surfing and yoga, and their eclectic tastes in fashion and furniture. The cafe, Umie, is a charming converted warehouse. Use Takamatsu as your base to explore the food, sports, and sights of Shikoku.
Oh, I just loved it when I had to deal with the unpredictable schedule of their irregularly-held pop-up store. So convenient.

I absolutely adored the traditional Japanese decoration throughout the guesthouse. From the beautiful sliding doors to the delicate artwork on the walls, it truly made me feel immersed in the culture of Takamatsu. The general areas, such as the courtyard and the common kitchen, were very clean and well-maintained. As a senior woman, I appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. The staff was kind and helpful, always offering their assistance when I needed it. I was able to navigate the guesthouse easily, with clear signs and directions. It made my stay much more enjoyable and comfortable.
If I had one small suggestion for improvement, it would be to have handrails installed in the shower area for better support and safety. This would be particularly beneficial for senior guests like myself.

The owners of Traditional Apartment Takamatsu Guesthouse were incredibly friendly and welcoming during our stay. They went above and beyond to make our experience special, helping us with key pickups, storing our luggage, and even providing information on local island trips. Their excellent English skills made communication easy for us non-Japanese speakers. The location of the guesthouse was perfect, just a couple of blocks away from the city's main arcade, offering convenience and easy access to shopping, dining, and transportation options. Our room in the new building was clean and modern, with spacious bedrooms and well-equipped bathrooms. I would highly recommend this guesthouse for anyone visiting Takamatsu.

The concierge service was mad helpful, giving us dope recommendations for clubs and bars in Takamatsu. The free WiFi was clutch for posting our fire pics. Plus, the tour desk hooked us up with a sick hiking trail and we met some chill locals along the way. We had a blast partying and exploring!
Only thing we wished for was a cool hangout area where we could chill with other young people. It would've been sick to have a common room with games or a bar where we could pregame before hitting the town.

Didn't dislike anything about the property.
